Prestige Optics Lab

Privacy policy

What we collect when you visit prestigeopticslab.com, send us a form or a message, use our sign-up form or customer portal at my.prestigeopticslab.com, or get our emails or texts; how we use and share it; and the choices you have.

Effective date: November 1, 2026

Who we are

Prestige Optics Lab LLC ("Prestige Optics Lab", "we", "us") is a wholesale lens lab in Fort Worth, Texas. We sell to opticians, optical stores, eyewear dealers, jewelers, eyewear brands and other trade buyers, not to the public.

This policy covers this website, prestigeopticslab.com; our sign-up form and customer portal at my.prestigeopticslab.com; and the emails and text messages we send. You can reach us at info@prestigeopticslab.com.

What we collect

  • What you send through this website: your name, email address, your phone number if you give one, your company, your type of business and monthly volume if you choose them, the topic and your message. See Inquiries, messages and sign-ups.
  • Your sign-up form answers: your type of business, what you're inquiring about, whether you're interested in our Stock Program, whether you'll be ordering RX, and your expected monthly ordering volume.
  • Your contact details: name, business name, email address and phone number.
  • Details sent with a form: your IP address, your browser's user agent (its name and version), the page you sent it from and the page that linked you to it, and whether your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal.
  • Campaign details: if you arrive from an ad or a tracked link, the campaign details in that link (such as the campaign, ad set and ad names and ids, and where the ad was shown), the page you landed on, the website that sent you, and an ad's click id (Meta's fbclid, or Google's gclid, gbraid or wbraid). On this website we keep these only as your cookie choices allow.
  • Cookies and browser storage, described under Cookies and browser storage and in our Cookie policy.
  • If you have an account: the information described under The customer portal and Payments and cards on file.
  • If you order RX: prescriptions, as described under Prescriptions.

Inquiries, messages and sign-ups

This website has an inquiry form and a message panel, and may also offer a newsletter sign-up and an occasional sign-up prompt.

  • Where it goes. When the lead system in our customer portal is available, what you send goes there and becomes a record our team follows up. If our lead system is unavailable, your message is emailed to our sales inbox through our email provider and kept as correspondence. If neither can take it, the form tells you it was not sent and offers to open an email to us instead, and we store nothing.
  • Messages. The message panel is a message, not a live chat: a person replies by email or phone, using the details you leave. We may check the email address or phone number you give against our customer records, so a customer's message reaches the right person.
  • Newsletter and sign-up prompt. When you sign up, we add your email address to our mailing list and send you Stock Program updates, offers and news from us until you unsubscribe.
  • What travels with it. The page you sent it from, your cookie choices and, as those choices allow, the campaign details of your visit (see our Cookie policy). When it goes to our lead system, our server also passes on your IP address, your browser's user agent and whether your browser sends Global Privacy Control. The email to our sales inbox includes neither your IP address nor your user agent.
  • Spam. Our forms include checks that block spam, such as a field people never see and how quickly a form was filled in, and we briefly use your IP address to limit how many forms can be sent from it.
  • Prescriptions. Please don't include prescriptions or patient details in a form or message. We'll arrange how to receive them when we set up RX on your account.

How we use it

  • To reply to your inquiry or message, including a confirmation email when you submit our sign-up form.
  • To set up and run your account: orders, invoices, statements, payments, shipping and support.
  • To send our newsletter and other marketing email you've agreed to, which you can unsubscribe from at any time (see Marketing email and newsletter).
  • To send text messages, only if you've agreed to them (see Text messages).
  • To see how buyers find us, and to measure and improve our ads, such as which pages and campaigns bring inquiries and new customers.
  • To keep our website and portal secure, and to block spam and abuse.
  • To keep the records the law requires, such as tax and accounting records.

Advertising: Meta Pixel and Conversions API

We may advertise on Facebook and Instagram. To see which ads bring inquiries, our sign-up form at my.prestigeopticslab.com can use the Meta Pixel, a script from Meta Platforms, Inc. that runs in your browser, and the Meta Conversions API, which sends events to Meta from our server. This website runs the Meta Pixel too, but only to count page views — see On this website below.

  • The Pixel tells Meta when one of the sign-up form's pages loads and when you submit it.
  • When you submit the sign-up form, our server sends Meta a matching "Lead" event with: your email address, phone number, first and last name, country, and a random id for your submission, each hashed (turned into a code with SHA-256) before it is sent; your IP address and browser user agent; the address of the page that linked you to the form, without its query string; Meta's click and browser ids (the _fbc and _fbp cookies); and general details that don't identify you: your type of business, your Stock Program answer, whether you'll order RX, and a range for your monthly volume. Once you've filled in your contact details, the Pixel can also send the same hashed contact details from your browser.
  • If you later open an account or pay for your first order, we may send Meta an event saying so, so we can see which ads bring customers. It carries the same hashed details as the Lead event, plus your IP address, browser user agent and Meta's click and browser ids while we still keep them, and for a first order, its value and number of items.
  • A form you send on this website can be reported to Meta in the same way, but only when your cookie choices on this website allow marketing and your browser doesn't send Global Privacy Control.
  • On this website, the Pixel does one thing: it tells Meta that a page was viewed, each time you open or move to one. It sends nothing else — no form answers, no contact details, no events of any other kind — and it is the same Pixel as our sign-up form's, so that a visit here and an inquiry there can be counted as one. It runs only when your cookie choices here allow marketing and your browser doesn't send Global Privacy Control; with either of those against it, the script is never loaded.
  • It leaves Meta's two cookies, _fbc and _fbp, in your browser for 90 days. Turn marketing off, or send Global Privacy Control, and we expire both. We don't do that until we know which consent rules apply where you are, because clearing _fbp on the first page of every visit would give you a new browser id each time and defeat the point of opting out.

Meta compares hashed details with its own records to connect these events to its ads, and handles the information under its own terms and privacy policy. We don't use the Meta Pixel on the portal's sign-in, account, order, invoice, statement or payment pages. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, see Your choices for what changes.

Cookies and browser storage

This website keeps a few small items in your browser: your cookie choices, which consent rules apply where you are, whether you've closed a sign-up prompt or sent us a form, and, as your choices allow, the campaign details of your visit and Meta's _fbc and _fbp cookies. Our sign-up form and customer portal set their own, including sign-in cookies and the campaign cookies pol_ft and pol_lt; until the portal reads the choice you make on this website, its sign-up form sets those two whatever you choose here. Our Cookie policy lists each one, what it does and how long it lasts.

You can change your choices at any time with Manage cookies, at the foot of every page:

You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The forms on this website, and our sign-up form, still work without them.

Marketing email and newsletter

  • When you submit our sign-up form, we email you a confirmation. We may then send up to two follow-up emails, about 30 and 60 days later, unless you've become a customer, we've closed your inquiry, or you unsubscribe.
  • When an inquiry you send from this website reaches our lead system, we may send you a confirmation and occasional follow-up emails about it. You can unsubscribe from them at any time.
  • If you sign up for our newsletter, or tick the box on a form, we send you Stock Program updates, offers and news from us.
  • If you have an account, we may send occasional promotional emails, for example about the Stock Program or ahead of a busy season.
  • Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link. We keep a record of unsubscribed addresses so we don't email them again.
  • Service emails aren't marketing: order and shipping updates, invoices, statements, payment receipts and password emails continue while you're a customer.

Text messages

We send automated text messages only to a mobile number whose owner has agreed by ticking a separate box beside it. The box is never ticked for you, and agreeing is not a condition of purchase. What we send, how often, and how to stop are in our Terms of service.

When you agree, we keep a record of it: the words you agreed to and their version, when and where you agreed, and the number.

Reply STOP to any text to stop them, or HELP for help.

We don't share the phone numbers you give us for text messages, or your text-messaging opt-in data or consent, with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. Our text-messaging provider receives your number only to send our messages.

The customer portal

Our customer portal at my.prestigeopticslab.com is for our wholesale customers and our team. For each account we keep your name, email address, phone number, business name and type, shipping and billing addresses, your orders (including engraving designs and artwork you send us), invoices, statements, payments, shipping and tracking details, and notes our team adds to support you. Our team can see your account in order to serve you, each according to their role.

  • Sign-in: sign-in cookies keep you signed in. If two-step sign-in is turned on for your account, we email you a code when you sign in.
  • Share links: we can send you an invoice, statement or payment page as a private link. Anyone with the link can open that page, so please don't forward links you'd rather keep to yourself.

Payments and cards on file

  • Card payments are processed by Stripe. You enter card details on Stripe's forms and Stripe stores them; we never receive or store your full card number. We keep a record of each payment and a reference to any card you save with Stripe, which shows us its brand and last four digits.
  • Card authorizations: when you authorize us to keep a card on file, we keep a record of when you agreed, your IP address, your browser and which version of the authorization you agreed to.
  • Refunds go back to the card that was charged.
  • Stripe sets its own cookies when you pay, to prevent fraud (see our Cookie policy).

Prescriptions

  • We don't take prescriptions through this website. When we set up RX on your account, we arrange how to receive them.
  • Prescription files are attached to an order by our staff and kept in separate, private storage. Only you and our staff can open them, and every view and deletion is logged.
  • We use them only to fill and check your order. We never use them for marketing, and we never send them to Meta or any other advertising partner.
  • Prescription files are deleted automatically 180 days after the order closes, or 365 days after they were added, whichever comes first.

Who we share it with

  • Service providers that host our website, portal, database and files, deliver our email and text messages, process card payments, and ship and track orders. They may use the information only to provide their services to us.
  • Shipping carriers receive the name, address and phone number needed to deliver an order.
  • Meta, as described under Advertising.
  • Others when required: to comply with the law or a valid legal request, to protect our rights and our customers, or as part of a merger, acquisition or sale of our business.

We don't sell your personal information for money. Some U.S. state privacy laws treat sharing information with Meta for advertising as "sharing" or "targeted advertising". You can opt out of it as described under Opt out of sharing for advertising.

How long we keep it

  • Inquiries, messages and sign-up form submissions (your answers, contact details, messages and campaign details) are kept while we need them to follow up and for our records, or until you ask us to delete them. Campaign and ad names are kept for reporting.
  • Your IP address, browser user agent, and Meta's click and browser ids saved with a submission are deleted after 180 days.
  • Copies of the events we send to Meta are deleted after 30 days.
  • Messages emailed to our sales inbox are kept as correspondence.
  • Account, order, invoice and payment records are kept while you have an account, and afterwards for as long as we need them for accounting, tax and legal purposes.
  • Prescription files are deleted as described under Prescriptions.
  • Newsletter sign-ups stay on our list until you unsubscribe. Unsubscribe records and records of consent, including consent to text messages, are kept so we can keep honoring your choices and show what you agreed to.
  • Cookies and browser storage last as listed in our Cookie policy.

Your choices

  • Manage cookies: turn analytics and marketing on or off at any time, with Manage cookies at the foot of every page or in our Cookie policy.
  • Global Privacy Control (GPC): if your browser sends a GPC signal, we treat it as a request to opt out of sharing for advertising. On this website, marketing stays off: we don't load the Meta Pixel, we expire its _fbc and _fbp cookies, and we don't keep or pass on an ad's click id. On our sign-up form, we don't load the Meta Pixel, we don't set the _fbp or _fbc cookies, and the Lead event our server sends Meta is marked for Limited Data Use, which limits Meta to using it to measure our ads. We send Meta no later events for that submission. We still save your submission and may set pol_ft and pol_lt for our own reporting.
  • Meta ad settings: you can choose how Meta uses information from other websites to show you ads in your Facebook or Instagram settings, under Accounts Center, Ad preferences.
  • Cookies: you can block or delete them in your browser settings.
  • Marketing email and newsletter: use the unsubscribe link in any marketing email, or email us.
  • Text messages: reply STOP to any text.
  • Access, correction and deletion: email info@prestigeopticslab.com to ask for a copy of your information, to correct it, to delete it, or to opt out of sharing for advertising. We may need to confirm it's you, and we keep records the law requires us to keep, such as invoices. If we turn down a request, you can ask us to reconsider by replying to our answer.

Opt out of sharing for advertising

We don't sell personal information for money. Some U.S. state privacy laws treat sharing information with advertising partners, such as Meta, as "sharing" or "targeted advertising". You can opt out of it:

  • Global Privacy Control: if your browser sends a GPC signal, we treat it as an opt-out for that browser (see Your choices).
  • On this website: turn marketing off, with the button below or in Manage cookies. That opts this browser out: the Meta Pixel stops running, we expire its two cookies, and we stop keeping or passing on ad click ids from this browser.
  • By email: write to info@prestigeopticslab.com with the subject "Opt out of sharing".

Security

We use encrypted connections (HTTPS), keep the keys to the services we use encrypted, and limit what each portal user can see by their role. Prescription files are kept in separate, private storage, and access to them is logged. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information and to fix problems quickly.

Children

Our services are for businesses. They aren't directed to children, and we don't knowingly collect information from children under 13.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we'll post the new version on this page with its effective date. If a change is material, we'll also tell account holders by email.
